Zack's Lawn Care

Services

Everything Zack does —in plain English.

Zack will quote any of these on-site. The price you get is the price you pay — no surprise add-ons, no upsells.

  • Weekly Mowing

Sharp blades, clean stripes, edged borders, and walks blown clean — same morning every week, all season.

Weekly or bi-weekly mowing across Allen, Plano, McKinney, Fairview, and Lucas. I run a tight North-Texas route so you get the same morning every week. Sharp blades (changed regularly so the grass tips don't bruise), cut height adjusted by season, edged at every visit, and walks and drives blown clean before I leave.

  • Edging & Trimming

Crisp, deliberate edges along beds, walks, and drives — the line that makes an Allen front yard look kept.

Power-edged borders along sidewalks, driveways, and beds — the line that makes the difference between "mowed" and "cared for." Careful trim work around fences, posts, mailboxes, and trees. Final blower pass so nothing carries onto the patio or street.

  • Hedge & Bush Trimming

Boxwoods, hollies, crepe myrtles — shaped at the right time of year so they grow back fuller, not stressed.

Hand and power-trim work on residential hedges and ornamental shrubs — boxwoods, dwarf hollies, Indian hawthorn, and the rest of the North-Texas usual suspects. Timed to the plant, not the calendar. Crepe myrtles get a real prune, not a top-off.

  • Flower Bed Cleanup

Hand-pulled weeds, tidy edges, dead growth out — beds that look like someone tends them.

Hand-pulled weeds (no chemical drift near edibles unless you ask), seasonal pruning timed to each plant, and a careful pass to clear out dead growth. The ornamentals end up looking like someone tends them — because someone does.

  • Mulch Installation

Hardwood, cedar, or dyed black — installed at the right depth so the beds look fresh and the weeds give up.

Bulk-delivered or bagged mulch, hand-spread to a consistent 2-3 inches around plants and trees with a clean line against the lawn. I pull last year's clumped mulch first if it needs it. North-Texas summers are hard on mulch — the right depth keeps moisture in and weeds suppressed.

  • Fertilize & Weed Treatment

Granular feeding and pre-emergent timed to North-Texas seasons — so Bermuda and St. Augustine actually thrive.

Seasonal fertilization timed to what the lawn is doing — pre-emergent in late winter to head off crabgrass, balanced feeding through the growing season, and fall prep before dormancy. Spot-treated for the broadleaf weeds that survive the mowing. Bermuda, St. Augustine, and zoysia all get treated a little differently.

  • Sprinkler Repair

Broken heads, leaks, the zone that hasn't worked in a year — fixed without the upsell.

Head replacements, broken-line repairs, controller programming, and a walk-through with you to make sure every zone is hitting what it should. If the system needs a full rebuild I'll tell you; if it just needs a head and a nozzle, that's all I'll do.

  • Seasonal Cleanups

Spring reset and fall leaf-out — the two visits a year that decide what the rest of the year looks like.

Spring: cut back perennials, remove winter debris, edge beds, refresh mulch. Fall: leaves bagged and hauled, beds blown out, gutters cleared from the ground, lawn prepped for dormancy. North Texas winters are mild but the leaf drop in November is real — I'll handle it.

Most weekly customers add cleanups, mulch, and seasonal fertilization — Zack will roll that into a flat monthly rate so the bill is predictable.
